Growing in Peace and Harmony with Standards

Implementing Fellowship Standards

It is important that all who are regular part of the fellowship affirm standards of fellowship.  This lays a good foundation for growth and conflict resolution.

Growing

As you implement Kingdom Standards, many fellowships first start with affirmation of a commitment to live by fellowship standards.

Then, they follow up with an exercise over six to twelve weeks, inviting each person to focus on one standard that they want to grow in.   At the end of the week, each person shares about their journey and chooses to focus on another standard.

Conflict

Conflict is a normal part of our interaction with one another.   Having shared standards for fellowship increase the likelihood of a positive resolution of conflict and the restoration of relationships.

The steps to resolving conflict are not difficult, but often not understood or implemented.

This is a recommended resource that can benefit anyone in conflict or asked to help resolve conflict.   It was developed by Ken Sande, author on the most distributed handbook on conflict resolution:  The PeaceMaker
